Following on from our success at the International Cider Challenge, we've had great news from the Great Taste Awards too!

Oldfields Orchard Medium Sweet Cider has just been awarded a maximum 3-stars at the 2015 Great Taste awards organised by the Guild of Fine Food.

There were 10,000 Great Taste entries this year and of those products just 130 have been awarded top marks, putting our cider in the top 1% of food and drinks entered - how chuffed are we??!!

Good news too for Oldfields Orchard Medium Dry Cider which also won a star, the judges feedback about it was particularly colourful saying it has a 'warm, sunny colour and a warm sunny flavour' - yum!

Great Taste is the largest and most trusted accreditation scheme for speciality fine food and drink offering a unique customer benchmark as all the entries are blind tasted by 400 of the most demanding palates in the UK. Whether it is cheese, ale, steak or chutney being judged, all products are removed from their wrapper, jar or bottle before being tasted. The panel of judges, including Masterchef judge and critic Charles Campion and Great British bake Off winner, Frances Quinn, then savour, confer and re-taste to decide if a product is worthy of a 1-, 2- or 3-star award.

Hobsons Brewery has won over 40 awards for our beers and we are thrilled to continue the tradition of awards with our new Oldfields Orchard ciders.
